Portfolio Optimiser wins industry recognition

The UK Structured Products Association (UKSPA) Portfolio Optimiser built and powered by FVC was recently “commended” for the Innovation category at the Moneyfacts Investment Life and Pension Awards 2020.

The prestigious annual Moneyfacts awards cover the whole UK investment community ranging from Life companies, Pension providers, Fund managers and others.

The commended recognition that Portfolio Optimiser received was the only Structured Product related winner in an open award and was the only pure tech solution in the Innovation category.

What Portfolio Optimiser does

The Portfolio Optimiser was designed by UKSPA, and FVC were selected to build and power the application which launched in March 2020. It was an honour to be entrusted with this important initiative that is a part of UKSPA’s commitment to education and transparency for the UK structured products market. We are excited to be part of this new service.

Portfolio Optimiser allows easy analysis of the performance and profile of a structured product in a existing portfolio of funds. For most retail investors, structured products sit alongside a portfolio of conventional funds and cash holdings as an alternative investment solution. Therefore thinking about how a structured product fits in a portfolio is very important for investors and advisers.

The application that FVC built for UKSPA achieves this in an intuitive way with instant detailed quantitative output. This has already gained a lot of interest and usage in the UK market for which we are working with UKSPA and has now been recognised at these awards.

Because it is powered by FVC’s powerful pricing and stress testing engine structurededgei.com we have the ability to easily port this application to other markets and use cases, something we are now having active discussion on.

To access the application go to the UK Structured Product Association website (registration required): po.ukspassociation.co.uk
